Some choices look alluring. The appeal to the senses: the look; the feel inside and physical touches cause the heart to pump a few extra beats; the words and promises whispered in your ears; and the overall vibe says, “I want, no, I NEED this.”
The ironic aspect about God is He allows us the freedom to choose. Yet, while we free to choose, we are not free from consequences of those choices. Don’t buy the age old lie: “You will not surely die.” (Genesis 3:4)
When you go against the grain of God’s design, you get splinters. Reality does not adjust to our illusions of pleasure. Deceptive ideas and disordered desires become regretful decisions.

We need to open our eyes to a superior love that is steadfast and saving to the depths of our being. God’s love is transformative. Be careful of taking one more step down a path that you will not be able to return. Jesus is waiting for you to simply turn around.
