Life hurts. God heals. We can hope in a world of grief.

Recently I was asked to share some resources with those grieving. This post is my attempt at starting a list that may be helpful, but also one that I/we can continue adding. Unfortunately, grief isn’t going away until Jesus returns. Therefore, it is helpful as a fellow human sufferer but more as a Christian to discern ways to offer help, hope, and healing.
Thus, here are a few resource links for grief that I can share with those seeking.
- Grief sermon series (me / pastor Dave Brown) with an interview of a professional counselor (Dr. Daryl Arrington).
- Griefshare groups are hosted at various locations nationally, but I’ve heard from several is helpful.
- Books by Nancy Guthrie who lost a child, Hearing Jesus Speak Into Your Sorrow, Holding Onto Hope, One Year Book Of Hope.
- Book: A Grief Observed (C.S. Lewis)
- Christian Counseling & Education Foundation (CCEF) resources search link.
- Articles: How Christians Grieve (Tim Challies), Ways We Can Deal With Grief (Crosswalk), Grief Is Not An Enemy (Trevin Wax), Moving Forward (Focus On The Family)
- A few Bible verses on grief.
- Recommended Christian counselors on our website.
- A Christian counselor’s (Brad Hambrick) resources on grief
- AACO community resource list that I’d love to continue adding resources.
