It’s Sunday.

This day is called by various names by multiple people in varying positions. In my eyes, it’s another Sunday. Another Sunday, which occurs every week. Every first day of the week ordinary people gather around a collective hope. These ordinary people have numerous reasons to not be together. Their backgrounds are dissimilar. Their experiences are unique. Their personalities conflict. Sometimes their political views clash. But they choose to be in the same room because they have a common need. Grace. It’s the name for a girl.
It’s also a thought that changed the world. Grace is alive because Jesus is alive. And since Jesus is alive, so is the church. So, this Sunday, you know what to do. You have every reason not to do it. But you need it. So do I. Grace is found where Jesus’ people are. See you in church. And Happy Easter, He is risen. He is risen indeed.
