This Friday (Dec 2) I am participating in a faith panel for AACPS. The audience is school psychologists and social workers, not students. However, discussions may lead to impact for students and families.
SPBC Family, I am asking for two things from you:
1) Prayer support. Some of the questions/discussion will be about extremely controversial social issues. I ask for prayer that I accurately represent the truth of God’s Word, as well as the compassion of Jesus Christ for all people regardless of their viewpoints. The goal of this panel is “judgment free” and that would be my desire as well. Ultimately, pray that I make much of Jesus and His gospel would be shared in a clear and convincing manner for those present.

2) Feedback. One of the questions involves parents of school aged children; the question being: “What school policies or procedures have presented a conflict for members of your congregation?” I have some thoughts on this already, but I’d love to mostly represent your feedback. You can comment below or private message me if you’d like to participate.
Later in the week I will post some prepared background thoughts to the panel questions. I hope to also share a follow up report of how it went.
A Scripture that is guiding my thoughts and perhaps your prayers for me is Colossians 4:2-6 “2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. 3 At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ… 4 that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
