Friday Waits For Sunday

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;”
Psalm 130:5

Whether it’s a difficult circumstance or the significance of the darkness from Crucifixion Friday, waiting on God’s next steps is necessary. How did the disciples wait? They feared and fled. We’re not any better. But we do know God’s promises in Scripture, and have the comforting presence of the Spirit. Therefore, we are never without hope. The worst has already happened and we never have to fear death. Take heart. The LORD has plans to roll away stones and let the light in.
