As we look toward the significance of Good Friday and Easter, check out Tiger Wood’s comments about religion:
“In the Buddhist religion you have to work for it yourself, internally, in order to achieve anything in life and set up the next life… It is all about what you do and you get out of it what you put into it. I am always continuing to work.”(1)
Good Friday shows us that it’s not about you working for anything. Instead of doing works, all the work is DONE in Jesus Christ. His life and death provide all the doing necessary. All that is left is for us to turn and trust. Turning away from trusting in our self righteousness or good works, and trusting by faith in Jesus Christ.
